Amy Siegel

Amy Siegel, Psy.D.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck in a rut, lost, or hopeless, I can help you find a path to feeling like a happier version of yourself again. I’m a licensed psychologist with experience in providing individual therapy and psychological assessment. My philosophy as a clinician is to understand the people who come into my office as whole, complex people – beyond just the list of symptoms or problems.

I specialize in providing psychological assessment for kids and adults aged 8 and up for a variety of concerns, including ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, and general questions about finding the right diagnosis and treatment for mental health concerns. My philosophy of psychological assessment is that finding the right diagnosis is only half of the job; when doing testing with me, you’ll also gain new insights into yourself/your child and a plan forward.

As a therapist, I specialize in working with girls, women, and LGBTQ+ folks of all genders aged 12-35. I help people with problems like anxiety, perfectionism, depression, emotional dysregulation, identity exploration, body image concerns, low self-esteem, and transitioning to adulthood, among other concerns. I combine multiple approaches in therapy depending upon my client’s need, including CBT, ACT, psychodynamic therapy, and strengths-based therapy. I believe therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or formal; in my office, you can show up as truly yourself. Therapy might include laughing, crying, sitting in quiet reflection, coloring, playing card games, sharing memes you relate to… and much more! I believe the important part is the genuine connection we’ll form as we work together to address what is causing you pain.

In my free time, I like going to yoga and watching history documentaries. You might find me combing through the clearance section of Marshall’s to find candles to add to my collection! I’m also an avid consumer of chocolate in all forms.
