Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group for Middle School and High School Students

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) provides effective coping strategies for teens and their families who struggle with a variety of concerns including:

  • Low Self Esteem
  • Poor Impulse Control
  • Difficulty Managing Emotions
  • High Rick Behaviors
  • Eating Disorders
  • Low Frustration Tolerance

This 16 week program will teach you and your teen various skills through four DBT coping skills modules. The modules include:

  • Mindfulness (learning to effectively manage thoughts and feelings
  • Distress Tolerance (learning to tolerate stress in a healthy way)
  • Emotion Regulation (understanding where emotions come from and how to manage them)
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness (learning to communicate with family and friends appropriately)

Middle School Group (6th , 7th and 8th grade) - Southpark Office
