She enjoys teens as well and is excellent at getting kids to open up and share. She is fun and super smart! Kelley BoltonDr. Bolton provides individual therapy and assessment for individuals of all ages, and she particularly enjoys working with early school-age children. Specific areas of interest include: Autism/Asperger's, developmental delays, adjustment issues, learning difficulties, anxiety, depression, and spititual issues. In addition to therapy and assessment with individuals, she enjoys working with churches and ministry leaders committed to building healthy congregations. Darci CarterA licensed School Psychologist and a mother who has advocated for her children, Darci brings her own experiences and knowledge to address your challenges in meeting your child's needs. Darci provides assistance with the Special Education and 504 processes through supporting parents and advocating for children's rights. Terri JamesTerri has an undergrad. degree in Child Development and Family Studies from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University. She has worked in the public school system and conducted hundreds of assessments with preschool and school-aged children.
Lauren King Lauren serves children, teens, and adults. Her specific areas of interest include eating issues, depression, anxiety, spiritual issues, trauma, learning problems, and autism spectrum disorders. Lauren loves helping individuals capitalize on their strengths, and she is interested in integrating people’s faith into therapy. Lauren also provides diagnostic assessments to assist with educational and therapeutic planning. Sean KnuthSean works with children of all ages and their families, providing forensic assessments and psychological assessments to assist with education and treatment planning. Specific areas of interest include assisting adolescents with transition planning and helping children and their families learn about their individual strengths and difficulties and how to best plan their futures. Jennifer McConnell Jennifer works with young children and their families by being fun and exciting as well as nurturing in promoting their academic, social, and emotional success. Jennifer also serves as a CAIS psychologist and provides assessments for kindergarten readiness. Amanda McGoughAmanda serves children adolescents, adults. jer interests include depression, anxiety, self-harm, life transitions, and behavior problems. Her approach is strengths-based, straight-forward, and supportive. Dr. McGough involves family members when appropriate to address family dynamics and to help parents. She also has specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address difficulties with controlling emotions. Mary B. Moore Mary B. specializes in childhood development, Aspergers, parenting strategies, and offers school readiness skills and placement assessments for children 3-10. Mary B. is also the Co-founder and Chair of the Epiphany School in Charlotte, NC. Mary B. integrates fun and excitement into her sessions and, being a mother of 3 boys, understands the demands of being a mom, friend, wife, and entrepreneur. Barrie MorgansteinBarrie is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and provides services to hearing, deaf, and hard-of-hearing individuals of all ages. She provide therapy and testing for clients of all ages and serves those struggling with depression, anxiety, parenting & family issues, behavioral problems, ADHD & Central Auditory Processing Disorder. Nyaka NiiLamptiNyaka works with clients of all ages, through individual and group therapy. Her focus is on multicultural and cross cultural issues in psychology as well as sports psychology. Anxiety, depression, diversity issues, relationships and performance enhancement are also among her specialties. Craig Pohlman, Ph.D.the Director of Mind Matters at Southeast Psych, has conducted or supervised thousands of learning assessments for students from across the country and around the world. His latest book, How Can My Kid Succeed in School?, gives parents and teachers easy-to-follow steps for helping children and adolescents who are struggling in school. Becky ThomsonBecky received her B.A. from Kalamazoo College and her graduate Certificate in Teaching from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a certified teacher who taught middle school science and loves finding ways to get kids excited about learning! She was a member of Teach For America, an AmeriCorps organization aimed at eliminating educational inequalities across the country. Andrea UmbachAndrea enjoys working with teens, adults, and couples. Her areas of interest include anxiety disorders (obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, specific phobias, and generalized anxiety disorder), hoarding, and trichotillomania. Andrea is also interested in depression, trauma, eating disorders, and relationship difficulties as well as assessment. Ultimately, Andrea is passionate about assisting others in their quest toward improved functioning by learning new skills and making positive changes in one’s life. Mindi ValadezMindi provides tutoring services for school-aged children and believes that all students can learn! She received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Idiana University-Bloomington and is a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT). Mindi has experience teaching a variety of ages and learning abilities in an assortment of different educational settings. Dave works primarily with high school and college-age students. His specialties include: anger problems, anxiety behavior problems, depression, drug and alcohol problems, school and learning-related problems (including ADHD), and trauma (accidents, abuse, violence, etc.). He has authored many books including Parenting the Millenial Generation. Heather Wright Heather serves clients of all ages through individual and group therapy. Anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, behavioral and emotional difficulty are among her specific areas of interest.
