Tracy Barcott - Blakeney Office Dr. Barcott obtained her B.A. from UNC-Chapel Hill and her M.A. and Ph.D. from UNC-Greensboro. She completed her internship and postdoctoral training at the Yale University Child Study Center and the Developmental Medicine Center, Children’s Hospital Boston at Harvard University. Dr. Barcott works with children of all ages and specializes in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), child development, and working with children from birth to age 6. She also specializes in evaluations for newborns to adolescents, including cognitive ability/IQ, developmental disabilities, academic achievement, language, kindergarten readiness, attention/ADHD, memory, learning disabilities, emotional health/diagnostic, and social skills. She has extensive specialized training and experience in diagnosing autism spectrum disorders, including early diagnosis for very young children, and in using the ADOS for diagnostic purposes. Dr. Barcott provides assessment and monitoring of developmental progress for infants and children with complex medical conditions. She also provides therapy and parent guidance for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, parenting skills, OCD, ADHD, behavior problems, and parent-child relationship problems. |
