Counseling is a space for authenticity and vulnerability in the midst of the challenges you face. Elise creates a nonjudgmental space for clients to process their stories, build skills to move them toward their goals and reconnect with what’s most important to them in life. She collaborates with adults, couples and teen girls (11+) in their journeys with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, relationship distress, identity development, life transitions, body dissatisfaction, disordered eating, self-esteem and depression. She is passionate about helping teen girls and their families navigate the unpredictable years of adolescence and supporting women to cultivate healthy relationships with their whole selves. Elise believes that health is not found in the elimination of pain, but in changing our relationship with pain and pursuing our values. Her approach to therapy is holistic, relational, and strengths-based, grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She incorporates creative activities and spirituality into therapy when desired by the client.
