Amy Powell Jamieson, LPC

Amy Powell Jamieson specializes in treating children and their families for issues including anxiety, behavioral problems, anger management, depression, grief, sexual abuse and other traumas. She has experience and a particular interest in working with teenage girls and college-age women. As part of her practice with children and teenagers, she often helps parents with strategies to deal with supporting their children in overcoming such problems.

She also sees adults, with a focus on treating anxiety. In addition, she counsels adults for depression, grief and loss, trauma, self-esteem issues and relationship issues.  Amy facilitates group therapy addressing social skills for children and parenting skills.

A Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina, she earned her Master’s Degree in counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
