Dr. Feather
earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology (with a specialty in
health/medical psychology) from The Illinois School of Professional
Psychology. His masters in Clinical Psychology is from Wheaton College and
his BA in psychology is from Nyack College. He completed a doctoral
internship at the Durham V.A. Medical Center/Duke University Medical Center,
with a specialty in Geropsychology.
Dr. Feather worked for more than seven years at the Charlotte Institute of
Rehabilitation serving a variety of patient populations, primarily those who
suffered a debilitating injury or disease. Since the completion of his
masters degree, Dr. Feather has participated in private practice for more
than 15 years serving older adolescents, adults, and couples. He has worked
in nursing homes and assisted living centers assessing and treating older
adults. Dr. Feather formerly served as supervising psychologist at the
Calvary Church Light Care Clinic.
Dr. Feather serves older adolescents and adults, individuals and couples,
treating depression, anxiety, stress, adjustment to medical
conditions/disabilities, sexual dysfunction, spiritual issues, and other
adjustment/transitional issues. Dr. Feather enjoys integrating people's
faith with the work of psychotherapy. He has been married for 20 years and
has two children. He attends Church at Charlotte.
