Jonathan Anslow
has experience
serving a variety of populations including adults,
adolescents, and children. Special issues he serves
include depression, anxiety, acute or chronic trauma, intimacy
and relational concerns, identity issues, behavioral problems,
ADD/ADHD, and substance abuse.
Fun Facts: enjoys
playing soccer, is often compared to the Geico caveman, has a laid-back
California attitude - but is from Virginia, "suppresses his inner dork", likes 80's
music, pop culture, cinema, and video games. Resident

Jonathan Feather
serves older adolescents and adults, individuals and couples,
treating depression, anxiety, stress, adjustment to medical
conditions/disabilities, sexual dysfunction, spiritual issues,
and other adjustment/transitional issues. Dr. Feather enjoys
integrating people's faith with the work of psychotherapy. He’s
been married for over 20 years, has two children, and attends
Church at Charlotte.
Fun Facts:
wears black spandex biker pants when mowing his
lawn, changes facial hair often but in a sneaky way, has been at
Southeast since the beginning, we call him “Feathers.

Frank Gaskill
works with children, adolescents and teens.
He also serves as a member of the private schools admissions
testing team (CAIS). Dr Gaskill provides a variety of services
including trainings, therapy, and assessments and provides a
practical, solution-focused approach.
Fun Facts:
seems to be a pretty normal guy, pretty much the
brains behind everything, goes by the name “Dr. G.” Oh,
wait. No we were thinking of someone else. He's a
lunatic, has seen star wars 378 times, walks around with lightsabers, so you be the judge... |

Karen Hooper
works with individuals, couples, and families.
Using positive psychology and integrative health, clients learn
a unique way to approach challenges. She works with people
experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties,
self-esteem and identity concerns, career changes, specific
crises, issues of grief and loss, and questions of spirituality.
Fun Facts:
speaks Spanish fluently, drives a convertible, loves to play
Pictionary, is crazy about dogs, and has excellent taste in
Piñatas. Her office is where you want to be if you are cold
because she keeps the heat on all year. |

Trey Ishee
provides psychotherapy to children, families and
parents. His training, research, and practice have focused on
ADHD, parenting, disruptive behavior disorders, anger
management, and child and adolescent depression. Dr. Ishee is an
advocate of a strengths based approach to treatment, which
emphasizes empowerment and problem solving.
Fun Facts:
Nike shoe tester (really), ran the mile in 4
minutes 8 seconds but probably because he heard there was a sale
on shoes (guy has more shoes than anyone), resident ADD boy,
snappy dresser, and knows just about everyone and went to high
school with them. Always eats
pizza...and broccoli. |

Heidi
Limbrunner
sees adolescents, adults, and families with a
wide variety of concerns. She works with adolescents and
women with issues such as depression, anxiety, self-harm (such
as cutting), low self-esteem, trauma, and behavioral concerns
while specializing in the treatment of eating disorders.
Fun Facts: has a bird as a pet, can't stand Caiou and is an
airplane pilot. Her fiancé is an excellent Halo 3 player,
instead of saying "Latin" or "Button," she says "Laden" and
"Budden." - Be sure to work it in to conversation: "So have you
been down to Charlotte _______ School lately??" |

Sara Marcus works
with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. She
provides a fun approach to therapy with individuals and families.
Dr. Marcus particularly enjoys incorporating family work and
parenting strategies as an integral part of the treatment process.
She views parents as a primary mode of intervention and welcomes
their participation and involvement in the care of her clients.
Fun Facts:
A
real life dog whisperererer, the hardest working woman in show
business, avid visitor of aquariums, is a Tarheel by education, and
in real life the wind is always blowing in her hair... |

Barrie
Morganstein
conducts therapy and testing for clients of all
ages related to depression, anxiety, parenting & family issues,
behavioral problems, ADHD & learning disabilities (Central
Auditory Processing Disorder), and self-esteem & identity
issues; she also provides coaching for individuals with ADHD,
learning disabilities, and/or general life struggles. Dr.
Morganstein is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and is
equally skilled in providing services to hearing, deaf, and
hard-of-hearing individuals of all ages.
Fun Facts:
hip hop dancer, danced at a bobcats game and
many concerts, local news star, princess and occasional loud
talker, great at costume parties.

Anthony
Patterson, M.D.
Psychiatrist, sees clients aged 18 and up needing
medication and psychiatric services. He specializes in the
treatment of Depression, Bipolar Disorder (Manic-Depressive
Illness), and Anxiety Disorders.
Fun Facts:
IQ probably 184 give or take, Georgia boy, reads
everything but has a hankering for classic sci-fi (Asimov,
Clarke, etc), extraordinarily nice and easy to talk to but in
spare time rules a small Scandinavian Fjord and sails a Viking
ship, |

Amy Powell
Jamieson
sees
adults, children and their families. She specializes in treating
children and their families for a variety of issues – anxiety,
trauma, behavioral problems, anger management, depression, ADHD,
grief, domestic violence and parenting. However, she also sees
adults for depression, anxiety, domestic violence, grief and
loss, self-esteem issues and relationship issues.
Fun Facts:
likes anxious people (YIKES!), has pretty quick humor but
hides it until time for a death blow, resident group guru,
easily frightened by Frank Gaskill...has threatened him too,
went to high school with about everyone in town... |

Nick Valadez,
Nick has two Master's
degrees, one in counseling and the other in leadership. Nick
works with children, adolescents and young adults. He also serves
Southeastpsych clientele through groups, training development, and
assessment. Nick also serves as assistant to the managing
partners, focusing on technology, testing, and clinical support.
Fun Facts: enjoys
swimming, reading and traveling. He is the weakest Halo player in
the world (literally) and has a son who thinks that Dr. G looks like
Murray, the Red Wiggle. He's the most educated person at
Southeastpsych! |

David
Verhaagen
works primarily with high school and college-age
students. His specialties include: adoption issues, anger
problems, anxiety behavior problems, depression, drug and
alcohol problems, school and learning-related problems
(including ADHD), and trauma (accidents, abuse, violence, etc.)
Fun Facts:
memento boy – forgets everything and tells you
the same story 3-4 times, obsesses and perseverates on funny
sayings, sounds, etc. Likes candy (a lot), has one set of
clothing that he bought off a guy down by the river, has a
brother who mows the grass, cuts the grass, and weed whacks.

Lynn
Vivian
has worked in private practice settings for over
15 years. She provides evaluation and psychotherapy to
children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Vivian enjoys an
active family and church life with her husband of 21 years and
two teenage children.
Fun Facts:
everyone’s mom, sometimes feeds sheets of paper
into the computer, knows everyone in Charlotte, with Dave gave
Frank his first job in Charlotte and thus her decision making a
judgment should be called into question… |

Heather West
enjoys working with children, adolescents, and their families to
help them identify strengths. She uses
cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, family systems, and play
therapy techniques to encourage health and well-being. Dr. West
specializes in treating anxiety disorders in
children and strives to involve parents in treatment
planning and direction. She attended Davidson College and
the University of Virginia.
Fun Facts:
sets great boundaries on basically everyone and
exceptional humor target because of it, new mom, married to a
guy named Gray who looks like young John McEnroe (he does), a
Yankee and loves some NASCAR guy who is nice or something or a
polite driver or uh…not sure on this one. |

Molly Murphy Wittig
Molly Murphy Wittig enjoys working with children of all ages,
but specializes in young children. Her concentrations include
early child development, developmental delays, behavior
management, ADHD, anxiety, and psychoeducational/ psychosocial
assessment. Dr. Wittig also serves as a member of Charlotte
Area Independent Schools (CAIS) and teaches psychology at Queens
University.
Fun facts: can recite countless
lines from Seinfeld, enjoys piano bars, is addicted to BBC murder mysteries
and starred in one, paints
and sculpts in her spare time, thinks more robots should be
involved at the office, and she can now add shower pan
installation and ceramic tiling to her repertoire! |
